The Sabal Springs Ladies Golf Association (SSLGA) hosted its first tournament — the Ceil Norwicke Memorial Tournament — of the 2024-2025 winter season on Nov. 13 and Nov. 14, 2024. A total of 48 ladies filled the golf course for the two-day event played under sunny skies complete with gentle breezes and doable temperatures.
The tournament features a match play format where two-person teams compete against one another hoping to ultimately win the most holes during the two days. As the golfers play a hole, the team with the least shots taken on that hole gets one point. If there is a tie on the hole, each team scores one-half a point. With the large number of participants this year, there were two flights of 9-hole players and five flights of 18-hole players.
The awards were presented to the winners following competition during a luncheon and meeting in the Sunrise Room at The Lake House. Congratulations to this year’s winners:

A Flight: Joy Melin and Robin Fritz
B Flight: Anita Johnson and Beth Zes
