The autumnal equinox on Sept. 22 ushered in the official end of summer. And while the temperatures hit some record highs, so did the fun for those Sabal Springs residents who endured the heat.
Thanks to the Summer Fun Team – co-hosts Jeanine Clapp, Susan Costa, Carmella Manning, Sheri Weitner, Ann Pangori, and Dee Dunphy – The Joker’s Golf Group, and many, many more volunteers. For Sabal Springs residents who hung in there through the heat and humidity there was a lot of fun to be had.
There was a wide variety of entertaining events and activities to keep the summer heat at bay and keep residents entertained. From the comedic stylings of RC Smith, to a BBQ Rub Class, Tasting, and Make Your Own Bottle, to a Fourth of July Parade and barbeque, to a Sunset Dessert Night, to WINEO Bingo, to “Strictly Sinatra” with Michael Dutra, to a Potluck Supper, to a Pirate Scavenger Hunt, to the opening of the newly renovated pool, ending with an encore standup performance from RC Smith.
