The Decorating Committee would like to thank all of the groups and committees who took the time to create some amazing Scarecrows for the annual Scarecrow Contest. We would also like to thank the panel of judges who took their job seriously and evaluated each of the entries on the following three criteria: creativity, originality, and craftmanship.
Each of the offerings were unique and captured the spirit of the season. But there can only be one first-place winner …. and that distinction goes to the Eagles Landing Restaurant entry for cooking up something special.
Second place was awarded to Jeanine’s Jewels for their duo of skeletons working on their bods.
There was a three-way tie for third:
Kudos to the Sabal Springs Ladies Golf Association for their “pretty in pink” entry and salute to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Also, a high-five to the Lady Jokers for their mischievous contender.
And a tip of the hat to the Arts & Crafts Committee for their festive and fall-inspired Scarecrow.
Finally, a participation nod to the Uneducated Guess trivia team for their Alex Trebek-inspired entry.
