On Dec. 5, 2024, the Arts & Crafts (A&C) group met, and the meeting started with the pledge of allegiance. A buffet lunch, including chicken, baked fish, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, salad, rolls, and dessert, was provided by The Lake House restaurant.
The North Fort Myers Choir entertained us with wonderful Christmas songs, helping to put everyone in the Christmas spirit. They were terrific, such wonderful voices. Six of the singers will be in the national competition and three will be in the state competition. The choir consists of 33 teens. We supplied pizza, cookies, and water for them. Our members donated money to the singers for their competition.
A&C received about 200 donations for the seniors at the Aspire Nursing Home, two per resident. Dawn Geraci, the manager of Bath & Body Works, said they would be donating about an additional 120 gifts, which were given out during facility’s Christmas party. Thank you to everyone for your generosity.
The meeting ended with the raffle and 50-50 drawings.
