As many of you know, Pat Harp is the “Rock Lady” of Sabal Springs. Scores of us have been fortunate to receive one of her painted rocks and she’s been on a tear lately.
Pat has been sharing these treasures for some time now. She started out small, putting her artistic creations on the golf course behind her house. Pat then expanded her reach and began putting them on various mailbox posts throughout the community. She tried to remain anonymous, but that’s pretty impossible here. Once it was discovered that Pat was behind these small tokens of joyful expression, she started putting them by garages, in landscaped areas, driveways, etc.
When she began this endeavor, Pat literally handpicked her rocks from one of the landscaping places on Bayshore Road. Now she buys them by the bag on Amazon. Recently, her daughter-in-law helped Pat’s partner Bob Kabat deliver a few hundred one weekend, but she’s not done. Pat still has another 100-plus rocks that will soon find their way into our neighbors’ hands.

Thank you, Pat (and Bob), for putting smiles on people’s faces. Your talent and generosity are one of the things that makes Sabal Springs such a great place to live!
