THANKFUL 2025 CHRISTMAS PARADE GRAND MARSHAL BOB AND SHARON.
As many people know I have been —let’s say — under the weather for about two and a half years now. I would like to take time to give my heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful people who have helped Sharon (Hunt) and I get through this hard time.
People have helped me on the golf course — chasing my golf balls, holding me up to keep me from falling, and driving me when I was really bad. I don’t know what we would have done without you all — especially Wayne and Cathy Piper.
I feel blessed to have so many friends who care and help. I thank God for the privilege to be a resident of such a wonderful community.
Previously, I was a community manager, and I know all communities have some problems. They come and they go but are not life-threatening. We might disagree with some things, but they always seem to get resolved sooner or later. Talk to the board members and discuss your concerns. Don’t spread rumors. It seems like untruths spread twice as fast as the truth. Don’t say it if you don’t know it to be fact.
When I am gone, I would like a tree in our backyard with a brick that reads: “He always made us laugh.” This is how I would like to be remembered.
Lastly, I would like to thank the people who elected me (and Sharon) to be the Grand Marshal of the 2025 Christmas Parade. What an honor that was.
My sincere thanks and appreciation to all of you.
Your friend and neighbor,
Robert (Bob) Petty
